Weightlifting chief coach Joshi died at the age of 52

The Chief Coach of Nepal’s National Weightlifting Team, Sunil Lal Joshi, died during the treatment here Sunday morning. He was 52.  Joshi, who also chaired the Nepal Olympian Association under the Nepal Olympic Committee, breathed his last at the Sahid Gangalal National Heart Centre at Bansbari in the capital city, according to the Nepal Weightlifting Association’s Secretary, Tilak Raut.  Joshi is noted for bagging the highest number of medals for Nepal in the South Asian Games (SAG). He is survived by wife and a son.  The last rites of Joshi were performed at Pashupati Aryaghat itself. The mortal remains of Joshi was kept at the office of the National Sports Council at Tripureshower for last tribute. RSS
