Pokharel’s plea to lawmakers

Jul 18,2018-

KATHMANDU: Addressing the meeting of development committee of Legislature-Parliament on Tuesday, CEO of National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) Govinda Raj Pokharel said lawmakers should take the initiative of convincing affected households for integrated settlement.

“At least 200 integrated settlements are still to be developed,” Pokharel said. He also said 150,000 houses would be rebuilt before Dashain.

The House panel directed NRA to accelerate reconstruction and conclude it within the given time.

The committee also urged NRA to increase mason training, which is necessary for reconstruction.

The panel also directed Nepal Rastra Bank to facilitate affected households in obtaining interest-free loans from banks.
